About This Project

Technology selection & experience design including character & animated storyline development of an interactive, oversized 4K storybook wall for children. Developed two custom Royal Caribbean characters (trademarked IP) & a suite of ‘chose your own adventure’ type stories.

Staff are able to control the pace of the story using a custom-built iPad app. There is no predefined script – crew have creative liberty to make the storyline their own and inject their personality into the delivery. For the kids, story time is elevated to a whole new level as they are able to interact with the experience using their body, minds, imagination and with a “magical” Bluetooth controller.

This is the first time Royal Caribbean has utilized technology to distinctively cultivate meaningful bonds between staff and our youngest cruisers.
